Research interests

My research focuses on Information Visualization. I'm especially interested in visual analytics, network visualization, time-oriented data visualization and geovisualization.

Current position

Since September 2024, I am a Professor of Computer Science at the Paul-Valéry University of Montpellier. I am also a member of the ADVANSE team of the Laboratory of Computer Science, Robotics and Microelectronics of Montpellier (LIRMM, University of Montpellier, CNRS), and a member of the AMIS research group.

I am the head of the AMIS research group since 2020 and the deputy head of the Computer Science Department of the LIRMM since 2024.

Previous positions

I defended my Phd thesis at the University of Bordeaux in October 2011. My thesis research was financed by a CIFRE scholarship. It was a collaboration between the company Pikko and the MaBIOVis team of the LaBRI. I was also a member of the GRAVITE team which was part of Inria centre at the University of Bordeaux. My Ph.D. supervisor was Guy Melançon, research professor at the University of Bordeaux, permanent member of LaBRI and scientific leader of the GRAVITE team.

From August 2011 to July 2012, I was a postdoc researcher in Computer Science at the University of California at Davis. I was a member of the ViDi team. My supervisor was Kwan-Liu Ma, research professor at the University of California at Davis and scientific leader of ViDi.

From September 2012 to August 2024, I was an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the Paul-Valéry University of Montpellier. I was also a member of the ADVANSE team of the LIRMM and a member of the AMIS research group.
